What You’ll Learn in the Workshops
Over the course of this immersive 4-day safari, you’ll dive deep into the art and craft of wildlife photography.
You’ll learn to master your camera settings, focus like a pro, and frame every shot with intention and creativity.
Discover how to own the light, bring your images to life in post-processing, and follow Lightroom editing tutorials designed to elevate your photos. Beyond technical skills, you’ll explore how to turn your wildlife images into unforgettable stories, capturing the emotion, drama, and beauty of the African bush.
What You’ll Need:
Bring your own camera gear, laptop, and any necessary cables, attachments, or adapters.
Ensure Lightroom is pre-installed so you’re ready to start editing and crafting your stunning wildlife stories from day one.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with not only breathtaking images but the skills and confidence to tell the story of the wild through your lens.
Itinerary for the 4 days:
Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to the Wild
- Arrive at the lodge between 12:00 – 14:00 and get settled into your home in the bush.
- Meet your hosts, Guide and fellow wildlife enthusiasts
- Get the notebooks ready for the Theoretical Photography workshop
- End the day with a delicious Boma braai dinner at the lodge.
Day 2: Into the heart of the bush
- Wake up to the call of the bush and set off on an early morning game drive in search of animals, with a coffee/tea stop to keep spirits high.
- Return to the lodge for a hearty brunch.
- Leisure time around the Lodge (Perfect time to empty those SD Cards)
- Head out on a afternoon game drive, keeping your eyes open for new sightings.
- Share stories and laughs over dinner at the lodge.
Day 3: Wildlife & a Bush Braai Celebration
- A morning game drive filled with Fresh sightings and plenty of photo opportunities with a hot coffee/Tea stop, off course!
- Recharge with brunch back at the lodge.
- Afternoon editing workshop, polishing your shots and learning how to make your images pop.
- Head out on an afternoon game drive for those golden-hour captures.
- Gather around the fire for a special bush braai under the stars, celebrating the adventures, the wildlife you’ve witnessed, and the memories made.
Day 4: A River Goodbye
- Start your last morning with an early boat safari, soaking up the sounds of the river one last time.
- Enjoy a unique breakfast on the boat, surrounded by nature at its best.
- With hearts full and memory cards even fuller, depart the lodge by 11:00, taking home not just photos, but stories you’ll tell forever.
